"I believe in... the forgiveness of sins."

Consider this: The planet we live on is so nurturing that we commonly call it "Mother," but so hostile that it frequently kills thousands of us in mudslides, earthquakes, and disease. And we human beings can produce a Mozart or an Emily Dickinson or a Ghandi as easily as we do a Hitler, Jeffrey Dahmer, or Osama bin Laden. It's as though reality has a split personality -- or, more precisely, originally had a healthy personality that was traumatized and became sick.

Jesus said that's exactly what happened. And that it was his job to put it right again.
